Nick and Sarah Weekend in Santa Cruz
This vacation brought to us in part by saved Anniversary money from our parents. Thank You Moms and Dads!Thursday: Met Visalia in Oakland & had the most delicious grilled fish in a West African restaurant with her. Met and became quickly enchanted with her cat, King Something-or-other (sorry kitty) & got from Visalia homemade bath salts to take back with us :) .
Next stop Menlo Park to visit with Grandma and Grandpa, who took us to a wonderful Jamaican restaurant for a dinner including jerk ox tail (go Grandpa!), salmon & chicken wings & patties, yum yum yum. Back to Grandfolks house to visit and spend the night. A certain kitty invited himself into bed with us, head on pillow, rest under covers. Thanks but no thanks, Pie. Picked up some toys from Chris & Ethan (thank you Chris and Ethan!) including a very cool wooden barn.
After leaving town realized we forgot to get pictures of the Grandfolks and of Visalia!!! Phooey!
Day 2 in Santa Cruz: beach livin' ain't easy
Day 2: more shopping, crab salad sandwich in Capitola, chillin' on the beach, back to SC for ice cream and another walk along the beach, another baby store and back for a catnap before dinner up in the hills.
